Use and maintanance

Some suggestions on how to use and preserve your kitchen, to ensure it will last for a long time.

 

The enemies you need to look out for are water penetration, fumes and vapours, corrosive agents, mould and heat. Here are a few tips for the different materials and surfaces:

 
Laminates: clean with alcohol or liquid detergents diluted with water.
   
Lacquers: use products indicated for cleaning glass, avoid abrasive substances, use only soft cloths
   
Natural woods: on these delicate materials remove stains with little alcohol diluted with water and clean with a soft cloth.
   
Marble and granite: protect these with adequate anti-stain products. In any case clean only with soap and water using a cloth or a sponge.
   
Stainless steel: specific cleaning products are widely available. Otherwise use warm water and dry with a soft cloth.
   

Important precautions: never use abrasive powder products, abrasive sponges or wire wool. Use only soft cloths to dry.
Be careful with water! Residual water should always be dried up in work areas to avoid stains.
